Why Gold is so Expensive than Iron?

 Gold is expensive than Iron due to its high cost of Production. It is also extracted from the ground like any other metal as Iron. Due to its high popularity it becomes much expensive than Iron. Its features like it do not oxidized like iron or copper due to which a layer get on it but with Gold it is very rare that it will be oxidized by the moisture and its shining or colour will fade. The price of Gold is not set by the company it depends upon the cost of production of the Gold.
